playing with film (for mobile devices)

For quite some time now I have been really interested in the way people use ipod's/iPhone's and other small portable sound and audio devices. I have been playing it was a slow day and I the things I had planned didn't happen so I looked for some film stuff to create a piece designed for ipod. Yes I know the aspect ratio changes during the cross dissolve but it was an hours play time between other stuff, the music is not mine but credited and legal.
Please watch it, better still download it (real player downloader will do it) watch it on your ipod or here with the sound up it doesn't pretend to be anything, and yes it's a bit cheesy but that is sort of intended & tell me what you think. I will do some more and set up a proper download section soon.
I see a real market for straight to ipod films. I plan to make a few more with the idea of mood changing films. A minute or two long to relax before sleep, or an important meeting or wake up before going to see the bank to ask for your money back!

brainfood

over the past few weeks the term 'brainfood' has come make to my attention again, hardly a new term I realise. Today though I like the term, it seems fashionable again mainly I think for me anyway through the different and very positive outlook from the clothes company Howies and their brainfood blog.
rhona at excess energy communications used the term in conversation last week good to get me thinking again, we have to keep feeding the knowledge base.

do lectures *brilliant*

I just couldn't resist posting this. I like it for so many reasons; too many to list here.
The link on the right takes you to the web site for the dolectures, this film is just well worth watching.

I plan to be there this year.

Apple, Final Cut, & Malcolm Gladwell

Well, I think I have managed to get the 10 licenses for Final Cut Express needed for the training session I am organising for the 20th of March, along with a couple of licenses for Comic Life deluxe to use for story boarding. I was amazed that Apple still charge very near the full price for all software for under  students university age unless you have an account and spend £50,000 per year, sounds crazy, though I did get an education discount
On the advice of Rhona (RiO, Excess Energy Communications) I ordered and am a good way through Outliners' by Malcolm Gladwell', not sure what I think yet, haven't found out anything that new yet but perhaps will through reading it.

London, away from the 'hectic (I love it really) time'

After the snow and stuff across the south and east of the UK, I was lucky enough to spend some time in London. Away from the hectic (I love it really) time I seem to be having of late I had the chance of a walk in west London. I thought even though it has really very little to do with the other stuff posted here I would add some images from a sunny winters day in west London, in the top photo you can see the left over snow I like to think were snowmen.
